Hewitt’s actuarial students and actuarial consultants/managers work in one of two areas: Retirement and Financial Management or Health Management. While there are many other roles at Hewitt (search open positions now), here are a couple of jobs that may be of interest to you.
- Actuarial students—Our actuarial students have a higher exam pass rate than the national average. Our students are exposed to a wide range of interesting project work. They are able to contribute independently and provide assistance to Health Management or Defined Benefit Pension actuarial consultants/managers. Entry-level students work with clients, draft responses, and prepare for client meetings. Experienced and advanced students play a more active role in client meetings and work with less guidance.
- Actuarial consultants/managers—Actuarial consultants are viewed by clients as a valued member of their teams. They are aligned to large targeted clients, partner on large annuity work, or may work as the day-to-day lead for smaller clients. They work with other peers and consultants across various Hewitt lines of business. Actuarial managers use their deep retirement or health care knowledge to coach less experienced team members on valuations or other complex/longer-term projects to ensure quality.
